Overview
Liposuction removes pockets of fat through small incisions using thin cannulas. 360° liposuction treats the abdomen, waist and back together for an even contour, and can be combined with skin-tightening techniques where the surgeon judges the skin quality suitable.
Whether liposuction, skin tightening or a procedure that removes skin (such as a tummy tuck) is right for you depends on your skin, fat distribution and goals, and is decided at the consultation.
Areas we treat
- Abdomen & waistIncluding 360° with the back
- Flanks & backRolls and bra-line fullness
- Thighs & kneesInner and outer thigh

Who is it suitable for?
Adults close to a stable weight with localised fat and reasonable skin elasticity, who are in good general health and do not smoke or are willing to stop for the period the surgeon specifies. It is not a treatment for obesity.
Surgery is only offered after the surgeon has assessed you in person and you have had time to consider the information.
What happens
- ConsultationThe surgeon examines you, discusses your goals and explains the options, limits and risks. Photos are taken for your medical record only.
- PlanningPre-operative tests and instructions are arranged. You receive a written plan and consent form.
- SurgeryPerformed at a licensed partner hospital under the anaesthesia agreed with you. The length of the operation depends on the procedure.
- RecoveryYou go home with written instructions and scheduled follow-up visits with your surgeon.
Results and how they develop
Swelling hides the result at first; the contour becomes clearer over the following months as swelling settles and skin adapts. Maintaining a stable weight is important for the result to last.
Results vary from person to person.
Recovery
A compression garment is worn for the period the surgeon specifies. Bruising and swelling are expected; discomfort is managed with prescribed medication. When you can return to work, driving and exercise depends on the areas treated and your surgeon's advice.
Follow-up visits are scheduled to check healing.
Risks and complications
All surgery carries risks, including those of anaesthesia. Your surgeon discusses every risk, and how it is managed, at the consultation before you consent.
Common
Swelling, bruising, discomfort, temporary numbness, scars that fade over time.
Uncommon
Bleeding, infection, fluid collection, delayed healing, asymmetry that may need revision.
Rare but serious
Blood clots, anaesthesia complications, tissue damage, poor scarring.
