Chin & Jawline Filler in Dubai

Hyaluronic-acid filler used to improve chin projection, define the jawline and bring the lower face into balance with the nose and lips. Performed by a licensed doctor at our Jumeirah clinic after a consultation.

Overview

The chin and jawline set the proportions of the lower face. A chin that sits back, a jawline that is soft or uneven, or early jowling can make the face look rounder or less defined than it is. Filler placed along the chin and jaw adds structure where it is lacking, which can improve the profile and the balance between the chin, the nose and the lips.

Filler adds support; it does not remove fat or tighten skin. Where the main concern is fullness under the chin, or loose skin, the doctor will say so and discuss other options. The plan, the amount and the placement are decided at the consultation, based on your facial proportions.

What we treat

  • A receding or short chin that unbalances the profile
  • A soft or poorly defined jawline, including early jowling that breaks the line
  • Asymmetry between the two sides of the jaw
  • A lower face that looks round because the chin and jaw lack projection

What filler does not do

  • It does not remove fat under the chin — see neck liposuction
  • It does not tighten loose skin along the jaw or neck
  • It does not correct large skeletal differences of the jaw, which may need surgical assessment
  • It does not make the face smaller; it adds definition, which can make the face look more structured

Who is it suitable for?

Adults who want more projection or definition in the chin or jawline and who are in good general health. Filler is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, if you have an active skin infection in the area, if you have an active dental or gum infection, or if you have a known allergy to the product's ingredients. Tell the doctor about previous filler, implants or surgery in the area.

The doctor confirms suitability at the consultation.

What happens at the clinic

  1. Consultationthe doctor examines your face from the front and in profile, discusses what you want, and explains whether the chin, the jawline or both should be treated, and with what approach.
  2. Preparationthe area is cleaned and a numbing cream may be applied. Most fillers used here also contain a local anaesthetic.
  3. Treatmentthe filler is placed deep against the bone or in the deeper tissue with a needle or a blunt cannula, in small amounts, and shaped by the doctor. Session length depends on the plan agreed.
  4. Aftercareyou leave the clinic the same day with written aftercare instructions.

Results and how long they last

A change in projection is usually visible immediately; the final shape settles once any swelling subsides. How long the result lasts depends on the product, the amount used, the area and your individual response. Firmer fillers used for structure are gradually broken down by the body. Your doctor will give you a realistic expectation at the consultation.

Results vary from person to person.

Recovery

Swelling, tenderness and some bruising are common and usually settle over the following days; the chin can feel firm at first. You will receive written aftercare instructions, which typically include avoiding strenuous exercise, heat, pressure on the area and dental work for the period your doctor specifies.

Risks and side effects

As with any injectable treatment there are risks. The chin and jaw are close to important blood vessels and nerves, so treatment is carried out only by a doctor after assessment. All risks, and how they are managed, are discussed with you at the consultation before any treatment.

Common

swelling, bruising, tenderness, temporary asymmetry, a firm feeling that settles.

Uncommon

lumps, visible or palpable filler, filler moving from where it was placed, prolonged swelling, infection, allergic reaction. Hyaluronic-acid filler can be dissolved if needed.

Rare but serious

injection into a blood vessel, which can affect the skin and, very rarely, vision; temporary nerve irritation causing numbness or altered movement of the lower lip.

For men

Chin and jawline filler is one of the treatments men ask for most. The aim discussed at the consultation is usually a stronger, straighter jawline and a chin in proportion with the nose, rather than softness or volume. The assessment and the risks are the same; the placement and the amount are planned for a masculine profile.

Products

The clinic uses hyaluronic-acid fillers registered for use in the UAE. For the chin and jawline the doctor selects a firmer product designed to give structure, and explains the choice at the consultation.

Frequently asked questions

Chin, jawline or both?

It depends on what is unbalancing your profile. Often the chin alone changes the profile; sometimes the jawline angle needs definition as well. The doctor shows you at the consultation what each would change and plans accordingly.

Is chin filler suitable for a receding chin?

Filler can improve the projection of a chin that sits back, within the limits of what filler can add. Where the difference is large or related to the bite, the doctor may advise a surgical assessment instead.

Can jawline filler slim my face?

No. Filler adds structure; it does not remove fat. A more defined jawline can make the face look more sculpted, but if fullness under the chin is the concern, neck liposuction or a different plan may be discussed.

Does it hurt?

A numbing cream may be applied and most products contain a local anaesthetic. Most patients describe pressure rather than pain, especially when filler is placed against the bone.

How long does chin or jawline filler last?

It depends on the product, the amount, the area and your individual response. Your doctor will explain what to expect in your case.

Is it suitable for men?

Yes. See the section above; the plan is adapted to a masculine profile.

Can it be dissolved?

Yes. Hyaluronic-acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme (hyaluronidase) if needed.

Is chin and jawline filler safe?

It is a medical procedure and carries risks, including the uncommon and rare complications listed above. No treatment is risk-free. Before treatment, your doctor assesses your suitability, explains the risks and benefits for your case, and obtains your consent.
